The Finding the Balance™ Method
Understanding Neurotypes. Building Bridges. Strengthening Lives.
At Finding the Balance™, our mission is to create a positive collaboration where individuals, families, and coaches work together to better understand the brain behind the behavior. We believe lasting change begins with understanding. By identifying each individual's unique neurotype, decoding nervous system patterns, recognizing strengths, understanding barriers, and building individualized bridges, we help people develop the skills, confidence, and systems they need to thrive. Our integrative coaching methodology combines evidence-informed neuroscience, nervous system regulation, executive functioning, movement science, family systems, behavioral science, developmental psychology, performance coaching, and lived neurodivergent experience to create individualized strategies that improve regulation, relationships, independence, learning, confidence, and overall quality of life. Rather than asking people to become someone they are not, we help them better understand who they are, how their brain works, and how to build a life that supports their unique strengths.
Our Philosophy
Every behavior tells a story. Most people see the behavior. We look for the nervous system beneath it. We believe every recurring behavior reveals a barrier. Our role is to understand that barrier, identify the strengths already present, and intentionally build bridges that help individuals move toward healthier, more successful outcomes. We don't simply coach behavior. We coach the systems that create behavior.
For example:
We don't ask,
"How do we stop this?"
We ask,
"Why is this happening?"
"What is this behavior communicating?"
"What barrier is getting in the way?"
"What strengths can become bridges?"
